Why are Aircraft Engravers lenses better than all other competitors?

Installation
  • They were reverse engineered from the actual manufacturers lenses and faceplate frames.
  • The color of the plastic is uniform throughout, not applied to the back surface.
  • The lenses are one solid piece of amber colored plastic so they won’t delaminate or get foggy.
  • UV stable material is used to protect the lenses and the display from UV degradation.
  • There is a recess cut around the perimeter to “Seat” the lenses as the originals were made.
  • An additional recess on the back surface was added for more light to hit the photo cell. This is done because as the units get older the photo cell has to get the proper amount of light to drive the display to the correct brightness.
  • Aircraft Engravers has been in business since 1989 with a solid reputation of quality work.
  • Aircraft Engravers also stands by they’re product with a 100% money back guarantee if you return your lenses you can get your full purchase price funded, minus the shipping charges.

  1. Jun 02, 2016 I recently bought a service manual for a pretty expensive instrument, 1980 dated, for $200. I don't need it now but one day it will be worth it - in the right hands. I'd imagine a KNS80 would be a pig to repair, with all the analog/RF circuitry.
