Having actually gone through both BA II Plus and BA II Plus Professional manuals, here's the ultimate list of a few lesser known, super handy time-saving BA II Plus functions that you need to know for your CFA preparations, regardless of level. It was useless to me as I couldn't make any headway with it. I don't like having to read a whole instruction booklet before performing simple calculations like the TVM (time value of money). I fully recommend the TI (Texas Instruments) BA II Plus to those studying Finance or just needing a good financial calculator. Update: microM8 now has experimental GUI frontends for Windows, macOS and Linux. MicroM8 not only provides solid emulation of Steve Wozniak’s masterpiece 8-bit Apple II series computers, but also redefines retro-computing with ‘upcycling’ features such as 3D and HD graphics rendering, user-movable camera views, PVR-style memory state recording with “live rewind” (the. The BA II is easy to understand and use. It is consistently right in its calculations. It is not a bad deal for the price of $34.99. I borrowed a financial calculator from a friend who has an HP 10bII+. Parallels Desktop for Mac Pro Edition gives you more processing power, with up to 128 GB of virtual RAM allocated to your VM and up to 32 virtual CPUs. TI-BAII plus clone (with emulator) Message #1 Posted by fhub on 3 June 2013, 1:02 p.m.Today I found the following website: http://www.moravia-europe.eu/en/products/?id=494-aba10 I've never before heard of this 'Fiamo ABA10' calculator, and it's almost identical to the TI-BAII plus financial calculator. Since the same site is also reachable from the following link http://texas-instruments.de/en/products/?id=494-aba10 I'm quite sure that it is indeed just a clone of this BAII plus. And what's even more interesting: you can download an emulator for this calculator from this website! I was looking for a BAII plus emulator for a long time and finally there is it - great! :-) Franz |

Re: TI-BAII plus clone (with emulator) Message #2 Posted by Mike (Stgt) on 4 June 2013, 4:06 a.m., in response to message #1 by fhubThank you for this hint. BTW, the emulator is a 30 days trial only. If you like simple calculators then try this. No time limit, no expiry, alas a simulation only, but of the first pocket calculator assembled in Germany: Ciao.....Mike |

Well, that's not really a problem - 2 solutions:1) simply delete the emulators registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMC and the trial period starts again, 2) or drop me an email to fix it permanently. ;-) Franz |
