- One of Excel 2016’s niftiest new features is the Tell Me help feature available from the Tell Me What You Want to Do text box located to the immediate right of the last command tab above the Excel ribbon. As you enter a help topic into this text box, Excel displays a list of related Excel.
- Move to the Tell me or Search field on the Ribbon and type a search term for assistance or Help content. Alt+Q, then enter the search term. Open the File page and use Backstage view. Open the Home tab and format text and numbers and use the Find tool. Open the Insert tab and insert PivotTables, charts, add-ins, Sparklines, pictures, shapes, headers, or text.
- In Windows, both for Excel 2010 and 2013, the slicers for regions and territories for sales generate these charts, but the Mac cannot see the slicers as Excel 2011 for Mac does not support slicers. Excel 2016 is supposed to, but the behavior isn't the same as on my Excel 2013 in Windows 8.
