Dec 27, 2014 Due to corrupted index, issues may occur with spotlight search results in Mac OS X. Rebuilding index of drives will solve all search related problems and spe. I'm on an iMac late 2014 model with Outlook 2016 Mac. What I did was move all messages to another temporary folder within Outlook and then back to their respective folders one folder at a time or to whatever messages you want indexed again. It somehow forces Outlook to index them again and search now finds them again! Feb 07, 2018 Outlook 2016 for Mac works slightly different than on a Windows PC - they don't have an OLM and also a profile folder for Outlook. I would create an export of the OLM (outlook for Mac data file) before messing around too much: Select File in the upper left of the Outlook, the Export from the drop down menu. Outlook for Mac search returns 'No Results,' and task items are not displayed Symptoms. In Microsoft Outlook 2016 for Mac or Office for Mac 2011, you receive a 'No Results' message when you try to search for an email message or apply a filter to a folder, and task items are not displayed in the Tasks folder.

We do not recommend that you change the default location of your Profile folder for Microsoft Outlook 2016 for Mac, or your Identity folder for Microsoft Outlook for Mac 2011 to an external hard disk or to a network. Additionally, using a mail identity or profile that is located on an external hard disk or on a network is not supported in either version of Outlook for Mac.
